Providing new computers and software applications to the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth Employment Center
The center’s existing computers and software applications have been in use for over 14 years and are unable to keep up with current technological advancements. The center’s teachers were unable to deliver the most current IT syllabus, which meant their disabled members could not meet the requirements of the Employees Training Board (ERB), limiting their employability chances.
By funding the update of the center’s computers & software applications, it has enabled the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth’s Employment Center to deliver the latest training courses in graphic design, adobe, video production, webpage, and more, to their disabled members. This will increase the disabled peoples’ competitiveness and employment opportunities in a shrinking labour market.
We want to help the disabled people in Hong Kong integrate back into society, to make a positive contribution and live a happy, meaningful life.
Emergency support to Wang Fuk Court Tai Po Fires
Following the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court Tai Po, as part of our emergency aid, we have made immediate donations to the Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council to aid affected families.
Support to Queen Elizabeth School
The upgrade of the Queen Elizabeth School (QES) hall sound & lighting system will help improve the whole school and community gatherings, such as school assemblies, school dramas and music productions.
While funding the 3-year development of the school’s high performance sports teams such as basketball, table tennis, badminton, and shuttlecock teams, it will enable the hiring of elite coaching, upgraded technology and equipment, enhanced training environment, and enable students’ external exposure to their sport.
Furthermore, the Chinese History Scholarship hopes to foster a deep appreciation for Chinese history beyond one’s school years. This scholarship rewards top-performing Chinese history students across all grade levels.
Lastly, the sponsorship of the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy (OASA) summer internships to the high performing STEM students of QES, provides an opportunity for these students to gain hands on work experience during their studies, to foster interest and possibly a career in the Space industry after graduation.
Supporting the Elderly through Food Angel’s ‘My Angel' Programme
The “My Angel” project aims to provide essential necessities that helps to improve the physical comfort, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life for elders in need. After a home visit assessment of the elders’ home, the elder can apply for an item that can help improve their well-being, dignity, and daily living conditions.
Supporting SEN students through Rise Wise’s dog therapy programmes
By providing on going sponsorship to the Special Educational Needs (SEN) students across several primary and secondary schools to take part in the dog therapy programmes run by the Rise Wise Foundation, it has proven to be beneficial to the SEN students, including learning self regulation skills, improving their communication skills, and learning to be more empathetic and patient towards others.
Supporting SEN students through participation in sports
By introducing learn to swim/ swim for survival programmes run by Splash Foundation, as well as sponsoring rope skipping lessons to the SEN students of several primary and secondary schools, we hope to use sport to improve the SEN students’ physical health, social skills, boost their self-confidence, and increase mental focus.
Building an "Interactive Fitness Zone" to promote the physical well being of students at a local secondary school
By establishing an ‘Interactive Fitness Zone’ with virtual indoor rowing machines & bikes, it aims to enhance students’ concentration and motivation through rowing & cycling training, as well as promote a healthy, active-living lifestyle among neighbouring primary and secondary schools.
‘Most Improved' & 'Most Consistent' Scholarships at a local secondary school
The ‘Most Improved’ scholarship hopes to reward and encourage students who have put in effort to overcome academic or personal challenges, who have shown personal growth, resilience, and hard work rather than focusing solely on top-tier grades.
While the ‘Most Consistent’ scholarship hopes to recognise and reward students who demonstrate consistent, and long-term dedication in their academics, extracurricular activities, or personal growth.
Subsidising patients to receive haemodialysis treatment at the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation Jockey Club Dialysis Centre in Wo Che
Patients with end stage kidney failure will require renal replacement therapy at hospital. But as they wait for the renal replacement therapy to become available, the patient will frequently need to undergo haemodialysis treatment to remove waste products, excess fluids and toxins from the blood. They require haemodialysis treatment 2-3 times a week, each session lasting 4-5 hours.
By subsidising the needy patients with their costly annual medical fees for the haemodialysis treatment, it helps to alleviate their financial burden.
